Our award winning 9-12 month programmes leverage the power of fun to develop key skills, build confidence and improve the mental and physical wellbeing of 8-9-year-olds in the UK’s most deprived communities.
We focus on this age range as it is a key moment for maximum impact and to drive long term behaviour change. This is before the move to high school when activity levels can drop and at a time when the children are open to new experiences.

Each programme involves three phases;

Co-Create

This 3 month process engages 3-5 primary schools and 250 children. Together we review what their pupils will benefit from and tailor a programme to suit their needs.

We recruit 6 exhilarating, locally available sports clubs to participate. These often include martial arts, street dance, volleyball, boccia or parkour.

Festival

All 250 children attend a high-octane sporting festival where they get the chance to try all 6 sports over the course of a day.

Teams compete in mixed sexes, mixed ability groups and the top prize goes to the team who shows the strongest team spirit not the most points, promoting a truly sporting culture.

Legacy

We ask the children to self-select the sports they enjoyed most and then set these up as legacy clubs in their schools for an optimum period of 20 weeks (this is the ideal duration to drive behavioural change).

We break down barriers to participation by making these free to access and will support travel or kit costs.

Even children who were previously inactive can find a sport they love and participate.

 “Last year Anabell moved to a new primary school. She was shy, reserved and worried she would not have any friends. Shortly after she moved, she took part in a SportInspired Festival. Not only did she love the whole experience, but she made friends instantly and her confidence has skyrocketed. Anabell is now so much more open to new sports and games.”
